Vertuo Quick Rinse Tutorial

There's a hidden feature on the Nespresso Vertuo machines that we recently discovered. The Vertuo allows you to perform a quick rinse. Rather than doing a full descale, the quick rinse feature will run water through your machine and remove any superficial deposits that have collected. We usually do a quick rinse once a week to help keep the machine clean and prevent any buildup.

To initiate a quick rinse, make sure the capsule chamber is empty and the water tank is at least halfway full. Place a 12oz mug under the drip tray to collect the dirty water. Turn the lever left to lock the machine. When the button stops blinking and turns solid, press the button 3 times. The machine will then run through a quick 5 minute cleaning cycle. When the light on the button stops blinking and turns solid, the quick rinse is complete. Unlock the machine and keep the lid open to let it dry.
